Welcome to Just Deaf!

Just Deaf is a website for parents of deaf children. They receive lots of information on their children's hearing, but a lot less on what it's like to grow up deaf, why bilingualism is important for deaf and hearing impaired children, and how to communicate visually with their children. The website is mostly made up of lots of stories: from other parents of deaf children, from deaf adults, and from experts who answer questions about their field of expertise in a clear, accessible way. In addition, there's advice regarding communication with young children, and many links to other websites and scientific literature.
